Jerome Corsi is the single greatest fiction writer on the planet. The jokes on them though, they still think Corsi writes non-fiction books. What would an election year be like without a new Jerome Corsi book to get my fictional conservative viewpoint from. Nobody can make up a story better than Corsi, he is the master of deception. Even though he will undoubtedly go through countless interviews which refute much of what he writes, Jerome Corsi always stands tall against the opposition. Whoever this Obama guy is, he seems like a bad dude. I heard Corsi also wrote this fiction book about John Kerry and a boat that I hear is absolutely riveting.
One might be tempted to say that he wrote the book in uneven intervals. Few voters would have believed this before the election. Chapter 8, "The Cult of Personality," inserts the author's idea for the book's subtitle. He treated much of Obama's early life fairly, and indeed with much sympathy. Clearly, the book was written to convince "undecided" voters to vote against Barack Obama in November 2008. Since Corsi does this less as the book progresses, the professor-explanation seems the likely one.
This annoyance is easy to forgive in a writer. The reader will keep in mind that Corsi published his book just after the political party conventions, but just before the TARP crash. That latter event changed the direction of the elections in November drastically in ways obvious to us readers now, but not obvious to the author. Very often, especially early on in this book, Jerome Corsi would repeat events and conclusions stated earlier, sometimes only several pages earlier. This is much more than Tennyson's "we are a part of all that we have met" idea. His aim was to show the extent of Barack Obama's leftist slant in early years, and why we would therefore end up with a similar-minded president. It turns out that Corsi was more correct than not. Rather, Corsi's point is that the then-candidate had little more to offer than just the sum of his contacts.
One wonders if he now wished to include the TARP event in his writing. More likely, though, he puts on his "seminar professor" hat to give the reader an unbroken logic chain. Most of this chapter filters the cult idea through David Axelrod, Michele Obama, Christopher Blosser, and others. He therefore had to publish a month or so before the elections. Can't have everything.Corsi spends considerable time on the life of young Obama, then on the post-college community-organizing Obama. Clearly, the author wants to show the reader how Barack Obama's personality consists largely of influences from the people who are, and have been around him. An interesting book and easy to read, well worth buying.
I didn't even read this book but, judging by what I read in Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler, I'm sure I know it front to back. The soar losers of the last election are really defaming themselves by trying to spot every pimple on Obama's face. The more they think about "their" loss, the more they look at Obama and want to scream out something that starts with "N" ends with "R" and it's not Nobel Prize Winner. In other words, grow up guys, boys, little children, or whatever you are because I wonder how Harvard feels having one of their graduates printing propaganda like this.
This is the only book on Obama that should be read. People claim it's not accurate yet it's more accurate that Obama's own books. Corsi tried and I applaud him.
So, why should we care about Dr. Further, Obama took comfort in radical Islam, Communism, socialism, black liberation theology, and, of course, drugs and alcohol. well. He gives background on Obama's mentors and idols - Saul Alinsky, Tony Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, etc. Because it's the cult of personality, created by David Axelrod and pushed along by Communists-in-training, that American fell in love with. The real Obama is. Obama is well into his first term as President of the USA. Corsi's book is well -written and enjoyable.
You get that explained, too. Obama's involvement with radical, far- left ideologies has left an imprint on who he is. It's never too early for November 2012. What Obama struggled with is his father's abandonment and his mother's flakiness. Corsi's pre-election 2008 book. Knowing who Saul Alinksy was and what he did helps understand why it's frightening that Obama idolizes the man.
one of the "lucky kids" who attended elite schools all of his life and made very good connections. Obama isn't confused about his race - he confused about why his biological mother and father weren't *there* for him. What's so important about Obama Senior and Kenya. Prepare yourself by reading this book (and at clearance/discount prices, you have no excuse not to.).
